I worked at Time Out for almost two decades, during which time I wrote for, and edited, dozens of travel and style guides, hotel reviews for Time Out‘s website, and film reviews for London’s weekly Time Out magazine.

I am currently the ‘Destination Expert for Sardinia’ for Telegraph Travel.

I’ve written food-centred articles for Sainsbury’s and Food and Travel magazine, design and architectural features for Design Exchange, cultural city spreads for People’s Friend, lesser-known Italian gems for P&O Cruises, and on bee-keeping in Sardinia for Hidden Europe magazine. Click here for more.

During ‘lockdown’, I volunteered on a photographic research project for Four Corners gallery, and wrote more political stuff for Byline Times, and Kent and Surrey Bylines. My personal favourite was ‘finding’ Barbara Beese, one of the last surviving members of the ‘Mangrove Nine’ – a group of black activists falsely accused of inciting a riot, which resulted in the first court judgment accusing the Metropolitan Police of being ‘institutionally racist’.
